Mapping Internet Governance
The past few months have been busy in the world of internet governance. The US government has announced it will give up its oversight role over ICANN, the main regulatory institution for the internet; major conferences such as NetMundial have advanced international debate on key internet governance issues; and the Snowden revelations on mass online surveillance continue to affect both international politics and our understanding of online communication. In this context, several international scholars and students are currently creating content on internet governance on the Mapping Global Media Policy platform.
