Website Revision

The Mapping Global Media Policy platform is under (re-)construction. Here is what is currently happening:

• The database is being revised so that data can be entered and used more easily
• Visual mapping tools are being included: We are revising and expanding the existing tools that provide visual overviews of database content, as well as the tools that allow users to create network maps. As a next step, we will include tools for geo-mapping.
• Finally, tools for user interaction will be added, for example options for commenting on existing profiles.
• Meanwhile, we are continuing to create profiles on policy actors, documents, etc. in specific thematic sections (“islands”). For example, data is currently entered into sections on gender-oriented communication governance and on media policy change in North Africa and the Middle East.

During these changes, you may encounter some problems with formatting and functionality. However the site can be used throughout. Most of the changes will be implemented by the end of the year.
